You will need to show the notary:

  1. One piece of valid (non-expired) government-issued photo identification, such as a passport, driver's licence, photo identification card, citizenship card or status card; OR
  2. Two pieces of valid government-issued non-photo identification, such as a social insurance card, birth certificate, marriage certificate, etc.

When you book your notary appointment, you will need to provide the details of one piece of government-issued identification. If you do not have any photo identification, you can provide the details of one piece of non-photo identification.

If you have any questions about our identification requirements, email us at hello@notarize.ca for help.
